Canes punter Dalton Botts is being given special recognition by the conference.

Botts was named to the preseason All-ACC team as voted on by media members at the team's annual football kickoff.

The California-native is the only Hurricane player to receive recognition.

Botts punted 12 games for Miami last year.

He finished second in the conference with a 42.7 yards-per-punt average in 2011.
