Caps signHoltby, Erskine to extensions

The Washington Capitals have re-signed goalie Braden Holtby to a two-year, $3.7 million contract extension and signed defenseman John Erskine to two-year, $3.925 contract extensions, CSNWashington.com reported.

Holtby, 23, is 5-6-0 with a .896 save percentage this season, but has played well lately.

Erskine, 32, has one goal and one assists in 11 games this season.
