Wide receiver released from practice squad

7-11 is closed for the Miami Dolphins. 

The team released receiver Chris Hogan.

Hogan did not make the team's 53 man roster, however, he was on the practice squad.

The team let him go on Tuesday.

Hogan earned the nickname 7-11 from teammates because he was "always open."

The wide receiver was featured prominently on HBO's "Hard Knocks."
