The Marlins much-anticipated home opener against the Cardinals is just a few hours away.
But before the ball game, is the opening celebration, which is being planned by music legend Emilio Estefan.
"Tomorrow night is going to a night of pride. As a city, we are growing, with a stadium like this," Estefan told Local 10's Victor Oquendo on Tuesday afternoon.
The show will last approximately 30 minutes and Estefan promises it will be spectacular, although he wouldn't give too much away.
"We have a lot of surprises that I don't want to tell you because I'll probably kill most of the surprises," he said.
We do know there will be several artists performing, all of them from Miami.
And true to Estefan's style of music, there will be a lot of percussion. Every fan will be given a box of tic tac mints to use as instruments so they can play long.
"They prepared a good show that people will remember forever. Hopefully we play good that night to keep it going," said Marlins Manager Ozzie Guillen.
The finishing touches are being applied to Marlins Park. The eyes of the baseball world will be on the Marlins tomorrow night and it all starts with Estefan's show.
"I think it's going to be a night we all feel proud about," Estefan said.
