Ex-Cane Webster guilty of unlawful sexual conduct
Nate Webster convicted on four counts
A jury in Cincinnati found former University of Miami linebacker Nate Webster guilty on four counts of unlawful conduct with a minor.
Webster, who lettered for the Hurricanes in 1998 and 1999, was accused of having sex with a 15-year-old girl. The victim was the daughter of a Cincinnati Bengals employee, the NFL team that Webster played for until 2004.
Webster admitted to having a sexual relationship with the girl, but claims she was 16 years old, the legal age of consent in Ohio.
Prosecutors also charged Webster with having sex with girl at gunpoint, an accusation the 34-year-old denied.
The jury convicted Webster on the four counts of unlawful sexual conduct but acquitted him of gross sexual imposition, sexual batter and once count of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.
Webster, who remains jailed until his sentencing hearing on June 6, could face up to 20 years in prison.
