BOISE, Idaho -

Boise State and Florida State have announced a home-and-home football series beginning in 2019.

The first game will be played Sept. 7, 2019 in Tallahassee, Fla., with the Seminoles coming to Bronco Stadium, Sept. 12, 2020.

The schools will exchange a guarantee of $400,000.

Last week, Boise State announced a home-and-home series with Virginia, with games being played in 2015 and 2017.

BSU athletics director Mark Coyle said Monday that scheduling a series with a perennial Top 25 program like Florida State is another step in growing the Bronco football program.

Florida State went 12-2 in 2012 and was ranked 10th in the final Associated Press poll, while Boise State is coming off an 11-2 season that saw them ranked 18th in the final Associated Press poll.
