CANTON, Ohio -

Former University of Miami star Cortez Kennedy is now a member of the Hall of Fame.

The defensive lineman joins a prestigious class.

He was one of six players inducted Saturday night, joining Dermontti Dawson, Curtis Martin, Willie Roaf, Chris Doleman and Jack Butler.

Kennedy starred during his career with the Seattle Seahawks.

The defensive tackle is the fifth Hurricane to earn the honor.

He joins Jim Otto (1980), Ted Hendricks (1990), Jim Kelly (2002), and Michael Irvin (2007).
