Glover withdraws from upcoming Sony Open

Lucas Glover has withdrawn from this week's Sony Open in Hawaii, making this the second straight tournament he has missed.

Glover suffered a sprained medial collateral ligament in his right knee after falling off a paddleboard nearly two weeks ago. The accident forced him out of last week's season-opening Hyundai Tournament of Champions.

He's hoping to return to action at the Farmers Insurance Open in two weeks.

Roland Thatcher took Glover's place in the Sony Open field.
