WASHINGTON – The Miami Heat may have their "Big 3," but today the NBA champs were honored by the "Big One" at the White House.

For the second time in franchise history, the team was honored during a ceremony in the nation's capital hosted by President Obama.
During the 10 minute presentation, the President congratulated the team on bouncing back from defeat in the 2011 NBA Finals and focused on offseason improvements players had made in their games that enabled the team to bounce back.
Head coach Erik Spoelstra thanked the President on behalf of owner Micky Arison and the entire Heat organization.
NBA and Finals MVP LeBron James made his first appearance at the White House as champion and presented the President with a signed ball by the team. When he asked the President if he could say a few words, President Obama told James, "It's your world."
James described what an incredible experience it was for a group of guys from different backgrounds to have made it all the way to the White House and ended his remarks by telling his mother, "I made it."
Dwyane Wade, who was with the team when it was honored following the 2006 NBA Finals, presented the President with a number 44 jersey and joked that the team could offer him a 10-day contract.
President Obama quipped back that the team could use a shooter.
The President also joked the team was going to take a picture that would make him look very short.
