Jones jams way to semifinals

NEW ORLEANS -

Canes forward DeQuan Jones slammed his way to the semifinals.

He scored a perfect 40 from the judges at the College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships Thursday night on ESPN.

"This slam dunk contest was one of the best competitions I've ever seen.  It was a great group of guys and it was one of the best experiences of my life," said Jones.
