The Miami Heat were in a giving mood on Friday.
Before their game with New York, guard Dwyane Wade pledged to donate his game-check to relief efforts from Superstorm Sandy.
During the game, Miami's defense was in a giving mood.
The Heat gave up a franchise-record 19 3-pointers in a 104-84 loss.
Carmelo Anthony led the Knicks with 30 points.
Miami also committed 21 turnovers in a forgettable performance at Madison Square Garden.
LeBron James led the way for the Heat with 23 points.
Miami hosts Denver on Saturday night.
