LeBron James is without equal on the basketball court, now he's been named among a very select few in Time magazine's most influential list.
The magazine included the Miami Heat star on the "Time 100," an annual list highlighting the most influential people in the world.
Split up into five sections, LeBron was titled King of the Court and was among those deemed "Titans."
A longtime fan of the New York Yankees, James' write up was penned by Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter who starts, "The first thing that strikes you is his sheer size and athleticism. Another thing, he’s down to earth. Most people in LeBron’s position aren’t as grounded as he is. He hasn’t forgotten where he comes from, and he’s given back so much to Ohio and Akron, his hometown. LeBron cares deeply about these places, and that says a lot about him."
Heading into the Heat's first-round NBA Playoff meeting with the Milwaukee Bucks, James' renowned passion will be on display; the same passion noted by Jeter in his homage, "LeBron never takes a play off. His all-out effort is what stands out when you watch him. Whether his team is up 20 or down 20, LeBron is playing like it’s Game 7 of the NBA Finals. His dedication, devotion and focus have won the admiration of fans — and his athletic peers. He’s someone anyone, in any profession, can look up to. Set the bar high for yourself, like LeBron does."
