Detroit Lions cornerback Aaron Berry was arrested Saturday morning in Harrisburg, Pa., and charged with three counts of simple assault.
The arrest, which was first reported by ProFootballTalk.com, was the second of the off-season for Berry and sixth among Lions players.
The undrafted free agent from Pitt was no longer in custody, according to Harrisburg police. Officials did say there was a firearm involved.
On Friday, Berry was remanded to enter a diversionary program in Harrisburg after a he was arrested last month on suspicion of DUI. The Detroit Free Press reported that this arrest could put that program at-risk.
Earlier this off-season, teammates Mike Leshoure and Nick Fairley were arrested in two separate incidents for each player.
