The Miami Marlins are making some bold claims on Twitter.

The Marlins tweeted on Monday, "One Boston sports team was sent home packing for the season. Now it's time for the Fish to send another home packing! Red Sox in town for 3!"

The team are obviously referring to the Miami Heat who sent the Boston Celtics home packing after beating them in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals. The Heat move on to face the Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA Finals which begin on Tuesday.

The Marlins host the Red Sox for the three games of interleague play beginning on Monday night.

The Marlins are 31-29 and in fourth place in the National League East. The Boston Red Sox are 29-31 in last place in the American League East.
