CORAL GABLES, Fla. -

The University of Miami basketball team has now gone where no other Hurricanes team has gone before.

Miami (19-3) is ranked third in the latest Associated Press Top 25 rankings, the highest basketball ranking the school has ever achieved.

UM also received 17 first place votes from AP writers.

Coming off blowout wins over Boston College and North Carolina, the Hurricanes jumped five spots and sit just behind top-ranked Indiana and Duke, who the Canes routed 90-63.

UM is a perfect 10-0 in the Atlantic Coast Conference and will look to improve on that record when they travel to Tallahassee to face Florida State on Wednesday night.
