Heat guard to make plans for future in coming weeks
Mike Miller plans to decide his future in the coming weeks.
Miller set an NBA Finals record by making seven 3-pointers as a reserve in Miami's title-clinching win over Oklahoma City. He limped with nearly every step, and raised the possibility afterward that the final game of this season may be the final game of his career.
Miller has three years and $18.6 million left on his current contract with the Heat. He has been bothered by back and foot injuries this season and plans on meeting with doctors soon to see if surgeries will be necessary.
Since signing with the Heat two years ago, Miller has dealt with a slew of thumb, ankle and shoulder injuries, plus needed surgery before this season to correct a hernia issue.
