Not everyone in Miami thinks LeBron James is the NBA's best player.
Just ask Miami Hurricanes center Reggie Johnson.
Johnson says he was thrilled that James and Dwyane Wade borrowed a trick from Hurricanes standouts Shane Larkin and Kenny Kadji, when Wade lobbed the ball off the backboard to set up James' highlight-reel dunk during Miami's win at Atlanta on Wednesday. Larkin did the same thing for Kadji at a recent Miami-North Carolina game that the Heat stars attended.
Afterward, Wade told reporters that the Hurricanes inspired the play.
And here was Johnson's good-natured reaction: "The second-best player in the league right now, LeBron James to say that and then Dwyane Wade to say that, man, that's remarkable."
Wait. Second-best?
That's right. Johnson's pick for No. 1: Kobe Bryant.
