Replacement refs mess up coin toss

Replacement referees did not get off to a good start in the first NFL preseason game on Sunday in Canton, Ohio.

With the regular referees involved in a contract dispute with the NFL, replacement referees were in change for the Hall of Fame game between the Saints and Cardinals, which the Saints went on to win 17-10.

After the coin was tossed before the game, the official announced the Saints had won the toss and elected to defer to the second half.

After about a half-minute, it was announced that a mistake had been made and that the Saints had elected to receive.
