Report: Former Heat player Pat Cummings dies

NEW YORK -

According to a published report, former Heat player Pat Cummings has been found dead in New York.

Cummings was found Tuesday afternoon at a friend's apartment in Greenwich Village.

He was 55.

Cummings' girlfriend reportedly found him unconscious on a pullout couch.

Cummings was an original member of the Miami Heat.

He played in the NBA for 12 seasons.
