Report: NFL takes issue with Pro Bowl tweet
Redskins linebacker Fletcher tweets, tweets again
The league, however, took issue with a remark made by Washington Redskins linebacker London Fletcher, CBS Sports reported.
"$500 to whoever predicts the final score. Must be my follower. $1,000 if you predict the score and MVP. Deadline halftime #probowl!" Fletcher posted.
Nearly 20 minutes later, Fletcher pulled a reverse and offered another tweet.
"Just found (out) from the NFL (that) I can't make that offer ... sorry, I'll think of something for you all later that won't get me in trouble. #probowl."
He then deleted the previous tweet and offered an autographed Pro Bowl jersey for the winner.
For what it's worth - whether it's $1,000 or an autographed jersey - Miami Dolphins wide receiver Brandon Marshall set a Pro Bowl record with four touchdown receptions as the AFC posted a 59-41 triumph over the NFC in Honolulu. Marshall was named the game's MVP.
