Showtime is making an early exit from the Miami Marlins season.

According to several published reports, the network has decided to end "The Franchse" after seven weeks.

Originally, the show was supposed to follow the Marlins for eight weeks.

Before the season, many people expected the Marlins to be contenders in the National League East.

Instead, their disappointing season finds the Marlins in last place.
