The New York Jets have fired offensive coordinator and former Dolphin coach Tony Sparano after a losing season.
ESPN reports a meeting was held Monday night between Jets owner Woody Johnson and coach Rex Ryan. It was after the meeting, Sparano was dismissed.
The Jets struggled offensively all season. Quarterback, Mark Sanchez, was removed from the starting position for Greg McElroy in Week 16.
Sparano was fired by the Dolphins in December of 2011 after a disappointing season.
