Tiger Woods has committed to play at the Honda Classic from March 1-4 in North Palm Beach, Fla.

The host PGA National Resort & Spa's Champion Course is only a few miles away from Woods' home in Jupiter, Fla.

Woods announced on his website Tuesday that he'll play at next week's WGC-Match Play Championship, followed by the Honda Classic and WGC-Cadillac Championship at Doral in early March.

Woods has never played in the Honda Classic as a pro and is making good on a previous promise to add a new event to his schedule.

Tiger is coming off a disappointing tie for 15th at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am., where he shot a 75 in the final round to finish nine strokes behind winner Phil Mickelson.
