They are the most storied Olympic bobsled team; the Jamaican Bobsledders.
Once again, the two-man team is headed to the Winter Olympic games.
This week, news broke that the team needed extra money to train, putting a spotlight on the financial struggles athletes still face even after they make it to the world's top sport stage.
The team is so popular that in just two days, their online campaign got them donations from 52 countries. The Jamaican Bobsleigh Federation announced Tuesday that the team has met all it's fundraising needs, and they are sending thanks worldwide.
Athletes in the United States face similar challenges.
Former University of Miami track star, and Olympic Gold Medalist sprinter Lauryn Williams is now an Olympic bobsledder. Williams is one of the handful of athletes ever to compete in Summer and Winter Olympic Games. She and her teammates need money too. Her twitter feed provides links to fundraising efforts on their behalf.
Williams and her teammates know that working toward the Olympic dream can be a financial nightmare.
