Mark Buehrle's first season as a member of the Miami Marlins ended with him winning the gold... glove, that is.
Buehrle has been named to the National League Gold Glove team as a pitcher, the fourth straight time he's won the honor.
Four former Marlins players have previously won the award, but Buehrle is the club's first pitcher to ever take home the trophy.
Charles Johnson, Luis Castillo, Derrek Lee and Mike Lowell combined to win Gold Gloves eight times in their years with the Marlins.
Buehrle, who won the award three times while with the Chicago White Sox, handled all 47 fielding chances he faced in 2012 and didn't record an error all season.
Shortstop Jose Reyes was a Gold Glove nominee, but lost the award to Philadelphia's Jimmy Rollins.
