Heat forward Shane Battier showed his support on Tuesday for President Obama's health care plan.
Battier participated in a conference call urging young people to sign up before the March 31 deadline.
Battier said that as an athlete, "You need great healthcare because you are going to get hit."
He detailed many of the injuries that he sustained over his over-a-decade long NBA career, "90 stitches, broken elbow, 20-25 sprains, ankle surgery."
Battier said he's thankful to have great insurance.
He urged young people to "play hard, be smart, get covered."
LeBron James and Alonzo Mourning have also taped public service announcements supporting the President's healthcare plan.
