Broward County Seminole club helps fill Fort Lauderdale bar

Seminole fans gather across South Florida for Rose Bowl game

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. ā€“ In true warrior fashion, Seminole fans gathered New Year's Day across South Florida for the 2015 Rose Bowl game.

Florida State was up against Oregon on New Year's Day. The winner advances to the national championship game.

Fans said a lot was on the line, given that FSU was the underdog in the game.

"Jameis Winston hasn't lost a game, and for us to be underdogs, we take it personal; we're ready to go," said one of the many fans who packed Slackers Bar & Grill in Ft. Lauderdale.

The official Seminole Club of Broward County helped fill the bar with fans and members. Its Facebook page can be found by searching for Seminole Club of Broward County.

The bar has become a landmark FSU hotspot in South Florida.

Many brought out their lucky shirts, beads and even plates, hoping that FSU will claim victory.

Kickoff was at 5 p.m.
