Miami and the Gamecocks are both 6-6. The Hurricanes lead the all-time series 8-5-2, but the teams haven't met since a 20-16 South Carolina victory in 1987.

The 'Canes will be looking to end the season on a positive note after a three-game losing streak.

Miami has lost its four previous bowl games. The 'Canes last victory came in a 21-20 decision against Nevada in the 2006 MPC Computers Bowl.
