Former coach Howard Schnellenberger said, "1983 was the linchpin that put into place that wonderful talent that was assembled and would continue to create the greatest college football dynasty since World War II."

The 1983 Hurricanes upset No. 1-ranked Nebraska in the Orange Bowl to win the title.

Among those expected to attend is Kenny Calhoun.
