MIAMI - The Miami Heat returned to the practice floor on Tuesday afternoon.
Coach Erik Spoelstra said that Mario Chalmers sat out with a minor knee injury.
It's not thought to be serious and Chalmers should be ready to go for Game 2 against Charlotte on Wednesday night.
The Heat took Monday off.
The rest could be particularly useful for veterans like Dwyane Wade.
Wade looked sharp scoring 23 points in Game 1.
He said the time off was useful, "Rest. This time of year, it's about taking the time to rest your body because one playoff game equals 3-5 games in the regular season."
LeBron James said on Monday he both got work in and rested.
James said, "It's good for us. We have so many bumps and bruises and injuries during the course of the year. Anytime you can get a couple of days between games, especially in the postseason, it definitely benefits."
The Bobcats went home after Game 1 to resist the temptations of going out in Miami.
Wade said, "In the playoffs, I don't really know if a team is really going to be out eating Johnny Rockets on the beach, but I've never been on the other side."
James said it "was a great move for them" if it helped the Bobcats stay focused.
