Chalmers suspended for one game

Guard out after throwing forearm at Nowitzki

MIAMI – Heat guard Mario Chalmers has been suspended for one game without pay.

The NBA announced that Chalmers was suspended for throwing a forearm and making contact with Dallas' Dirk Nowitzki.

The incident, happened with 5:01 left in the 4th quarter of Miami's 110-104 win over Dallas on Friday night.

Chalmers will serve his suspension when the Heat visit the Bobcats on Saturday night.

Chalmers tweeted, "Never in my career been a dirty player.  It's clear that my arm was being held and that's w(h)at caused me to hit Dirk.  Enough is enough man."
Chalmers added, "My teammates going to hold it down for me tonight against the Bobcats.  Can't wait till Tuesday night.  It's starting to get personal now."
