CORAL GABLES, Fla. ā€“ The Miami Hurricanes earned a No. 3 national seed in the NCAA Division I Baseball Championship and will have home field advantage throughout the postseason tournament.

Miami was awarded one of eight national seeds Monday, ensuring that the Hurricanes will host all the way to Omaha, Nebraska, which is the annual site of the College World Series.

Joining Miami in the Coral Gables regional are Florida Atlantic, Stetson and Long Beach State.

Miami begins its postseason run Friday at 7 p.m. against Stetson. The winner will then play the winner of Friday afternoon's game between FAU and Long Beach State.

This is the 44th straight postseason appearance for Miami, which is an NCAA record.

The Hurricanes advanced to the CWS last season.
