Local10.com college football picks: Week 9 results

PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. – Local 10 sports reporter Andrea Brody was a perfect 8-0 in the ninth week of the Local10.com college football picks.

Brody was the only one to pick FAU and Miami to pull the upsets, bringing her to within two games of Local 10 sports director Will Manso and Local 10 sports reporter Clay Ferraro.

Manso still leads the group with an overall record of 75-23, while Ferraro is one game behind with a 74-24 overall record.

Miami earned its first signature win of 2015 by knocking off No. 22 Duke, which was undefeated in Atlantic Coast Conference play. The Hurricanes won in grand fashion with eight backwards laterals to score a touchdown as time expired.

FAU also notched its second win of the season against rival FIU.

Local 10 meteorologist Julie Durda had the worst showing, finishing 5-3. In addition to picking Duke and FIU, she also picked Georgia to upend Florida in the annual border rivalry. Instead, the Gators pounded the Bulldogs, 27-3.
