Florida State rises to No. 14; Gators remain at No. 18

The Hurricanes lost their first game of the season 20-19 to Florida State.

MIAMI ā€“ The Miami Hurricanes have dropped out of the top 10.

The latest Associated Press poll released Monday drops the 'Canes to No. 16.

Miami was ranked No. 10 last week.

Florida State rises from No. 23 to No. 14.

The Seminoles beat the 'Canes 20-19 in a dramatic game at Hard Rock Stadium.

Brad Kaaya threw a potential game-tying touchdown in the final moments, but Florida State blocked the extra point attempt.

The 'Canes haven't defeated FSU since 2009.

Florida remains at No. 18 after last Saturday's game against Louisiana State was postponed because of Hurricane Matthew. The Gators host Missouri this Saturday.

Miami hosts North Carolina on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
