Hurricanes QB Brad Kaaya to rest arm after getting roughed up by FSU

Kaaya hurt shoulder, but not concussed

Brad Kaaya lost a tooth after being hit in Miami's 20-19 loss to Florida State at Hard Rock Stadium.

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Hurricanes head coach Mark Richt said Sunday that quarterback Brad Kaaya will need to rest his arm after Florida State roughed him up in Saturday's prime time thriller at Hard Rock Stadium.

"Brad got his shoulder banged up," Richt told the media a day after Miami's 20-19 loss. "He probably won't throw for a couple days."

Kaaya also took a helmet-to-helmet hit that knocked out one of his teeth, but Richt said that right now they are "not categorizing anything as a concussion."

The No. 23 Seminoles (4-2, 1-2 Atlantic Coast Conference) handed 10th-ranked Miami (4-1, 1-1 ACC) its first loss of the Mark Richt era.
