CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The Miami Hurricanes won't play a spring football game because of ongoing renovations at Hard Rock Stadium.
Miami announces its spring schedule Wednesday, which usually culminates with an intrasquad game. However, this year's spring game was noticeably absent from the schedule.

David Villavicencio, assistant director of communications for the school's athletic department, said in a news release that there won't be a spring game because of ongoing renovations to its home stadium, which the Hurricanes share with the NFL's Miami Dolphins.
Local 10 News has learned that Miami contacted several area venues, but none could accommodate the team because of scheduling conflicts.
The Hurricanes begin spring practice March 21. All practices are closed to the public.
Miami finished 9-4 last season, including a 31-14 win against West Virginia in the Russell Athletic Bowl in Orlando.
