LSU offensive tackle George Brown Jr. transfer to Miami

4-star prospect from Cincinnati must sit out 2016 season under NCAA rules

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – A former Louisiana State University offensive lineman has transferred to the University of Miami.

George Brown Jr. spent his freshman season at LSU. He must sit out the 2016 season under NCAA transfer rules, but he will have three years of eligibility beginning in 2017.

Brown was ranked as a four-star prospect out of high school in 2015.

The 6-foot-7, 283-pound lineman from Cincinnati didn't play for the Tigers last season.

He was recruited by Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Texas, among other schools, before choosing LSU. His older brother is a former offensive tackle at Virginia Tech.
