Miami fans show enthusiasm for new coach Mark Richt at CanesFest

Fan's uncle from Texas gets to FaceTime with Richt

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Miami fans tailgated and came out in full force Saturday as they attended the football team's annual CanesFest, the first such affair under new coach Mark Richt.

Most of the fans told Local 10 News that they were extremely excited to have a Miami alumnus as their new coach.

Many fans stood in a long line to meet Richt, but one fan got very creative.

Zack Cohen had his uncle, who lives in Texas, on the phone so that they could FaceTime with Richt.

Cohen said it shows the kind of person that Richt is that he would be gracious enough to FaceTime with a fan's uncle in Texas.

"I think coach Richt's going to bring us back," Cohen said.
