CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Miami Hurricanes safety Cedrick Wright has been suspended from Saturday's game against North Carolina State for a violation of team rules, the school announced Wednesday.
Hurricanes spokesman Tom Symonds said in a statement that Wright was suspended for a violation of team rules.

The true freshman from Homestead has played in nine games for the Hurricanes this season, recording six total tackles. Wright's first tackle of his young career was on special teams in the season opener against Florida A&M, and he added his sixth tackle last weekend in Miami's 34-14 win at Virginia. His lone solo tackle came in Miami's 45-10 win at Appalachian State.
Wright becomes the third player to be suspended for a violation of team rules this season. Sophomore defensive tackle Gerald Willis and freshman wide receiver Sam Bruce were suspended prior to the start of the season. Willis missed one game, and Bruce was dismissed in October without ever seeing any playing time for multiple violations of team rules.
