PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. -

Miami's favorite quarterback is withdrawing his lawsuit against the National Football League, according to a SunSentinel report.

Former Miami Dolphins signal caller Dan Marino and his lawyers are in discussions with the NFL to withdraw the lawsuit.

A Los Angeles Times report Monday claimed Marino and 14 other former players filed a lawsuit accusing the NFL of concealing information and misleading players about football-related brain injuries.

Marino was sacked 270 times in his 17-year playing career, all with Miami.

It was not immediately known why Marino was withdrawing the lawsuit.
