Die-hard Miami Heat fan to meet players Monday night

Facebook page has nearly 1,000 fans as of Monday morning

MINNEAPOLIS – She's from Minnesota, but Tess Mountain is a die-hard Miami Heat fan.

On Monday night, the 13-year-old who suffers from Cardiofaciocutaneous syndrome will get to meet her biggest idol, Dwyane Wade, thanks to a Facebook petition that got the basketball star's attention.

Tess' family created a Facebook page, "Let's Get Tess to Meet Dwyane Wade," on February 27. The page asked for people to spread word about Tess' desire to meet Wade, ahead of the team's game against the Timberwolves on Monday.

According to the page, Tess had received tickets to the game for Christmas and had been looking forward to seeing her idols in action.

Just two days later, an update was posted that "Tess will get to sit on the Miami Heat bench and watch warm ups" at the game. Tess will also serve as the "kids captain" of the game. She will get a photo at half-court with the captains of both teams just before tip off.

On Sunday night, Wade retweeted a message one of Tess' supporters sent him, thanking him for "making Tess' dreams come true." Attached was a video of the moment when Tess' family told her she would meet the superstars.

Cardiofaciocutaneous syndrome affects the heart, facial features and skin.

The Miami Heat are on a 14-game winning streak heading into Monday night's game. Tipoff is at 8 p.m. ETC.
