The Dolphins defense has had a few bright spots.
Defensive end Randy Starks had two first half sacks.
Right before halftime, the Dolphins were down 17-3 and fumbled.
Houston made them pay.
Matt Schaub connected with former Miami Hurricane Andre Johnson to put Houston up 24-3.
In the 3rd quarter, Marcus Thigpen gave the Dolphins life.
He returned a punt 72-yards for a touchdown to cut the Texans lead to 24-10.
The Texans answered with a drive that resulted in a field goal to extend their lead to 27-10.
