Ex-Bull says LeBron would kick MJ's (rear end)

Mourning relays Scottie Pippen's remarks

MIAMI – The man who played Robin to Michael Jordan's Batman says that LeBron James was better than MJ... according to Heat great Alonzo Mourning.

During a meet-and-greet at the opening of the Microsoft store in the Dadeland Mall, Mourning relayed a story to the crowd about how Scottie Pippen, Jordan's teammate on the Bulls, feels that James was better than the hall of famer generally regarded as the greatest basketball player of all time.

In an article on Bleacher Report, Mourning is quoted as saying, "Scottie said that LeBron would've kicked MJ's ass."

Mourning, who said Pippen made the statement at Jordan's 50th birthday party, told the guests that he agreed with the analysis because of LeBron's size and strength.

Of course, as a CBSsports.com article mentions, Mourning does still work with the Miami Heat and could have just been trying to stir things up, but Pippen has been down this road before.

Back in 2011, before LeBron won his first NBA title, Pippen believed that while Jordan was the greatest scorer to play the game, it was LeBron who may be the greatest player to ever play basketball.
