SUNRISE, Fla. -

The Florida Panthers announced their seven-game 2013 preseason schedule on Tuesday.

The Panthers will open the preseason on Monday, Sept. 16 with a pair of games against the Nashville Predators, at the BB&T Center at 2:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.

This marks the second time that the Cats will play a doubleheader, as the team says both Nashville and Florida opened the preseason playing one another twice on Sept. 19, 2011.

Following the doubleheader, Florida travels to Texas and will play the Dallas Stars on Wednesday, Sept. 18. After the game in Dallas, the team will travel to San Antonio, home of the Panthers American Hockey League affiliate the Rampage, for three days of training camp.

The Cats and Stars face-off in a preseason game in the Alamo City on Friday, Sept. 20.

The Panthers will close out their preseason schedule with three games against their intrastate rivals, the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Florida visits Tampa Bay on Saturday, Sept. 21, followed by a game on Florida's west coast, when the two clubs play an exhibition contest at Germain Arena in Estero, Fla. on Thursday, Sept. 26.

The Cats return home for their final preseason contest when they host Tampa Bay on Saturday, Sept. 28 at 7 p.m.
