Hundreds of fans come out for first day of Miami Dolphins' training camp

Practice open to the public for rest of weekend

DAVIE, Fla. ā€“ Hundreds of Miami Dolphins fans showed up for the first day of training camp Friday in Davie.

Fans from as far as Orlando came out to get their first look of the players this season, and to get autographs from big names like quarterback Ryan Tannehill.

The players began practicing at 8 a.m. The practiced for about a half hour inside the bubble and then took to the practice field for a two-hour training.

The only big changes made this season were guard Shelley Smith playing center for Mike Pouncey, who will be out for eight weeks.

Many fans Local 10's Todd Tongen spoke with said they want to forget the Richie Incognito-Jonathan Martin scandal of last year and start this season with a fresh slate.

The Dolphins' training camp will be open to the public for the rest of the weekend, and tickets are only available online.

Sunday will be the first day the players practice in full pads.
