It is one of 18 games on the ACC slate released Wednesday.

"In my opinion, the ACC is the best basketball conference in the country, with six teams led by coaches with more than 400 victories, and six of the Top 25 winningest programs in history," Miami head coach Jim Larranaga said. "Every game will be a test for our players, so we will have to play at our best both at home and on the road every single night. Our demanding non-conference schedule, highlighted by our home game against the University of Florida, should prepare us for the rigors of league play."Ā

Eight of Miami's 18 ACC games will be played against teams that participated in the NCAA tournament last season. Four of those teams -- defending national champion Duke, Louisville, Notre Dame and Virginia -- visit the BankUnited Center.

"This year we have to defend our home court, and to do that we need our fans to help us create an electric atmosphere in the BankUnited Center for every game," Larranaga said.

The Hurricanes will also host rival Florida State in a nationally televised game Jan. 9. They travel to Tallahassee for another nationally televised game against the Seminoles on Valentine's Day.
