Marlins partner with Red Cross for disaster relief

MIAMI – The Miami Marlins and the Marlins Foundation partnered up with American Red Cross at Tuesday's game at Marlins Park to support disaster relief efforts across the U.S. as devastating tornadoes and severe weather continue to sweep across the southeast.

Red Cross disaster relief information was highlighted throughout the ballpark. Red Cross members were also at the park to talk about relief efforts and volunteers shared preparedness materials.

"The Marlins support of all those whose lives have been turned upside down as these storms ripped across the southeast is an example of corporate social responsibility and community partnership at its best", said Red Cross South Florida Region CEO Rob Levine.

Paul DiMare, one of the Red Cross' strongest supporters, threw out the first pitch at the game.
