UM also received 17 first place votes from AP writers.

Coming off blowout wins over Boston College and North Carolina, the Hurricanes jumped five spots and sit just behind top-ranked Indiana and Duke, who the Canes routed 90-63.

UM is a perfect 10-0 in the Atlantic Coast Conference and will look to improve on that record when they travel to Tallahassee to face Florida State on Wednesday night.
