The NBA and Miami Heat will open a new NBA Cares Learn & Play Center at the Joe Celestin Center on Friday.
The center, located at 1525 NW 135th Street, will open at 10:30 a.m. It was renovated with the help of State Farm.
Heat players will help children and families cut the ribbon on their transformed space, which will showcase a technology area and a reading space.
The center will also feature new furnishings, fresh paint and Heat-themed decorations, including a Heat-inspired children's graphic mural created by artist David Le Batard.
The Heat have opened twelve Learn & Play Center in South Florida.
