Heat injury woes continue with Josh Richardson set to miss 2 weeks

Heat ready for Rockets & "maestro" James Harden on Tuesday

MIAMI – The injury woes for the Miami Heat keep hitting them like never-ending waves crashing on to the shores of South Beach with the latest hit being Josh Richardson who will miss two full weeks with a sprained left foot.

That was the news head coach Erik Spoelstra announced after practice on Monday.

However, there is good news as backup center Willie Reed practice Monday and is listed as probable for Tuesday's home game against the Houston Rockets.

Coach Spoelstra said that "shockingly everybody else (was) ready to go" in practice on Monday and that they "haven't had two days like this since training camp."

That statement comes with the understanding that Justise Winslow (shoulder) is out for the season and Josh McRoberts is out indefinitely with a stress fracture in his left foot, however reports say McRoberts could also be out the rest of the season.

As for getting ready to try to stop the Rockets and James Harden, who's coming off his 12th triple-double of the season, Spoelstra declared, "he plays on his own pace and he's a basketball maestro. He's on one or two plays before they happen. That's part of his brilliance."

Guard Dion Waiters was asked about a possible game plan for the Rockets who shoot three-pointers at an alarming rate, "it's surprising this year how good they are. Offensively they're good, I feel though defensively we can really get in the paint, put the pressure on them also. That's how we can dominate, keep getting in the paint and make them defend us."
